Teaching at a community college typically requires a bachelor's degree in the field you teach in as well as years of experience working in that field.

Bachelor's degree (minimum) /Master's degree (preferred) + Experience ⇨ Community College Professor

Alicia’s first job in the environmental field was working in recycling in Santa Barbara. She taught different communities and businesses how to recycle and the cost benefits of recycling. Alicia moved to intern in habitat restoration learning about restoration ecology. This included understanding the benefits to ecosystems of cultivating native plants.
